Barn & Factory Timber
Through the deconstruction process, The Kieswetter Demolition Company is able to salvage a multitude of large and unique timber. Hand hewn barn timber from six to sixty feet in length and factory timber up to 11" x 14". Our timber inventory consists of hand hewn timber (timber that has been squared to size by hand), rough cut timber (timber that has been cut using a pit or band saw) and factory timber (timber that is consistent in size and slightly smoother than rough cut).
Here at Timeless, we are also fully capable of re-sawing any of the above timber types to desired specifications to meet your project needs.
Hand Hewn Timber are available from 6"x 6" to 12"x12" and 3' to 25'+ in length.
Note: Hand Hewn timber dimensions are typically 6"x 8", 8"x 10" and 10"x 12". The timbers are slightly inconsistent in size and will contain pockets from braces and holes from traditional wood dowels.
Species available are pine, hemlock, maple, elm with limited quantities of cherry and cedar.
Rough Cut Timber are available from 3"x 4" to 12"x 12" and 3' to 25'+ in length.
Note: Rough Cut Timber will usually contain bolt/nail holes, saw marks from traditional cutting practices and of course a rough, but aged texture.
Species available are pine, hemlock, maple and elm.
Factory Timber are available from 6"x 6" to 12"x 14" and 5' to 20'+ in length.
Note: Factory Timber may contain bolt/nail holes.
Species available are pine and douglas fir.
Sleeper Timber are timber found in the basement or first level of a barn and in some cases, century old farmhouses. These timber are usually made flat on one side only, leaving the remainder in the tree's natural shape; this gives a very unique profile and character.
