Olliffe, purveyors of the finest meats, and Sweetgrass Flowers do not sound like the two could co-exist, although through careful design and an open minded customer, nothing could be more fitting. Olliffe provides a mixture clean stainless with our rugged and imposing slab shelving made of old growth Douglas Fir. The stainless counter is warmed by a custom built authentic butcher block constructed from century old quarter cut maple flooring.
Sweetgrass is the perfect juxtaposition; tall, colourful and delicate floral arrangements in vintage sap buckets rest on mammoth reclaimed Douglas Fir timber and plank shelving. The timber flanking the far wall measures well over twenty feet in length. Clean-up and bucket filling receive equal treatment in a century old cast iron mop sink finished in perfect white.
